Hotel Palácio Estoril
On the sun-warmed coast west of Lisbon, the Hotel Palácio has been the grande dame of the Portuguese Riviera since 1930. Through the war years its halls hummed with exiled royalty, diplomats and rather less transparent guests, and that air of old-world intrigue still clings to the place.
